First day of 3rd grade!!

Somehow, someway, the boys have started third grade.  They were very excited and ready to start school.  We were so lucky to get several of their good friends in their classes, and Blake's kindergarten teacher moved up to 3rd grade so we have her again!  We love Mrs Aan and are thrilled to have her for 3rd grade.  I was not allowed to take pictures in the school, nor were we given hugs and kisses.  I imagine this was our last walk-in.  They're growing up!!!!

Trip to Great Wolf Lodge

The week before school started we took a mini vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine.  The boys and I had been there before but Tadd had not.  We stayed two night and did all the activities in addition to lots of time on the water slides!!  The boys loved MagiQuest, maybe more than the waterpark!  We went out to dinner one night and had lots of fun and relaxation time.  We  will definitely go back again.

Day visit to the stockyards

Tadd and I had a date night in downtown Fort Worth and Sunday morning mom and the boys met us down there for lunch. It was super hot so we didn't stay long, but we saw the stampede, went to a petting zoo, and Blake rode a mechanical bull!!

Roller skating!

A friend of ours had his birthday party at a local skating rink. The boys have not even tried skating since they were about 3 (see very first blog post ever!!). Cody was pretty timid and pretty much just watched until the end but Blake tried it and loved it right away!!

Trip to Perdido Key

We've been lucky enough to be able to travel to Florida the last few summers to visit my brother and his family.  Ryan's in-laws live in Perdido Key and they and sweet and gracious enough to host all of us and our wild kids each year!  They live right by the beach and we always have such a great time.  The big boys usually get to go on a deep sea fishing trip and the Wallaces spoil us with delicious food.  Of course, no trip is complete without a trip to the Florabama!!
