Pumpkin patch

I took the boys back to the pumpkin patch we visited last year to play and pick out pumpkins. They loved running in the field and posing with all their favorite characters. (Yes, they love Barney, much to my dismay.) Blakey had a small accident right after we got there, but he didn't seem to care so I just let it go. They had lots of fun and picked out two small pumpkins for Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!

We had a very scary Halloween with our Storm Trooper and Darth Vader (or Dark Mater according to Blake). The boys really understood Halloween and the whole trick or treat concept this year, and they were excited for several days about going trick or treating! We went out with some neighbors (aka Elvis), and scored lots of candy!!

Walking with Dinosaurs

We took the boys to see Walking with Dinosaurs today at the American Airlines Center. It was absolutely incredible. The dinosaurs were life size, as you can see in the picture with the man int it (that was a "baby" dino). The video gives you an idea of how awesome it was, but even it doesn't really give justice to how real and loud it was. The boys loved it. Cody got a little scared at the end with the T-rex but I can't blame him!! If this comes to a city near you, I highly recommend it...even if you don't have kids!

Happy 4th birthday!!

The boys had their 4th birthday party at Pump it up, which is a big gym with about 6 different huge bounce houses. Everyone had a great time, including all the mommies and daddies (and Nandy!). The boys made out like bandits with all their presents as usual. Thanks to everyone who came! The pics on the slides are blurry, but you get the idea! And in case you can't tell, their cake is a rocket (from Little Einsteins).

Baking a cake

The boys helped me bake their birthday cake yesterday. They enjoyed pouring the ingredients and stirring, and of course, tasting. I think Blake thought it was yogurt, and ate it up!

Trip to Six Flags

We went to Six Flags last weekend and had a great time. We got there early and were able to walk up to the first few rides we went on! Blake and Cody rode their first roller coasters and had a lot of fun! Blake wasn't scared at all, and the only one that scared Cody was the Spongebob Squarepants ride. They're about an inch too small for the bigger little rides, so next year ought to be perfect!

Just some random pics

Haven't done anything too exciting lately...but with the birthday and holidays coming I'm sure I'll have lots to post soon!! The other little boy is our friend Drew. We went to a Rangers game with him and his mom and dad!

Mommy & Daddy go to a football game

We went to the Cowboys game last weekend with our friends down the street. We got there plenty early for tailgating and we had a blast!! Maybe just a "little" beer drinking involved.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend down at Lake Limestone with Tadd's family. For once it didn't rain on a big weekend down there, and we all had a lot of fun! The boys have really gotten to loving riding on the boat now. They're brave and jump off the back like "birds". Here's a video of Cody jumping in. See it here.
Couple of pics of the boys being silly, Cody modeling his life jacket, and Blake with cousin Morgan. And my new favorite picture of the three boys!! They are such good buddies and have such a good time together!!

Rangers Game!

Tadd and I took the boys and my mom to a Rangers game this past Sunday. We all had a good time and the boys made it all the way to the end! We were hoping the mascot would come up by us for a picture but he never got close enough. The only bummer was that when we went to get food, we missed the only home run of the night! Sammy Sosa hit one out... we missed fireworks and all!! What timing. Maybe next time!! The picture of Blake with his hand on his chest is during the National Anthem.

Pirate Party

The boys have a friend named Drew that lives down the street and he had his 3rd birthday party last weekend. It was a pirate theme and super cute! The boys got bandanas and eye patches, and even earrings. They went on a pirate treasure hunt and had a great time banging the pinata!

Couple from a month ago!

These are kinda out of order, but still cute, so I figured I'd post them. They are from the trip we took to Houston at the beginning of July to attend my grandfather's funeral. It was a sad time to go, but still nice because we got to see lots of relatives we don't see very often. My boys looked so cute in the dress clothes! And then they had a great time playing in the hot tub...with bubbles!!
