Birthday party!!

We had our fifth birthday party at a bowling alley called Alley Cats. We had all our Texas cousins there and a few friends from school and the neighborhood. We got to bowl and play video games, and we had lots of fun!!

Trip to Alabama

We took a family trip to Alabama last week to visit my brother Ryan, his wife Brandie, their daughter Cecelia and new baby Wallace! The boys did very well on the 10 hour car drive and we had a great time while we were there. We went down to Tuscaloosa one day to see Ryan and Bran's old stomping grounds (University of Alabama). It's a beautiful campus. I had never been there before so it was nice to go. The boys even got to run on the same track Uncle Ryan used to run on.






And of course I spent lots of time cuddling my precious new nephew.

Mommy's birthday party

We were out of town for my actual birthday so the Saturday before Mom came over and we cooked out and had cake and ice cream with some neighbors and their kids. It was lots of fun for everyone!!

Summer days

Another trip to the park...I'll take advantage of this nice weather as much as possible!!

Day at the park

We headed to the park the other day to enjoy some of the nice weather we've been having! We went with our best buddy Drew and his mom Shannon. These guys have the most fun together. I was so pumped when I saw this picture of the boys together...how often do I get 2 smiles AND 2 sets of eyes looking at the camera! Of course, boys will be boys, and I have several "bootie" shots to prove it. (The bootie shot was taken by Blake...shocker right?)

First soccer game!

The boys had their very first soccer game on Saturday! Their team is the Coyotes and there
are 6 little guys on the team. They play 3 at a time. We think they did great for their first game! Cody scored 3 goals and Blake scored one. We think the final score was 6-5 (we lost). Blake needs to focus on actually kicking the ball and not just running by it, but overall they did fantastic!!

Lake fun!

We went out to Joe Pool Lake last weekend to hang out and enjoy the nice weather. The boys have really gotten to be little water babies! They love jumping in the water and swimming. Maybe next year we can get them on the tube!

Soccer!!

We started playing soccer this year! The boys have practice twice a week and their first game is Sept 6. They love it so far. They want to practice at home all the time. There are six kids on their team, and their coach is great. God bless him for the patience he requires to teach 6 little boys to play soccer!

Kylee's 9th bday party

I don't know what Trish will do next year for Kylee's birthday, because I can't imagine a blow up water slide bigger than this one!! We all had a great time sliding down the slide...i little baby oil definitely made you go faster!! The boys were exhausted the next day...Cody vegged on the couch until almost 11! It was a blast.

4th of July at the Lakehouse

We spent the 4th as we have the past few years, out at the lakehouse on Lake Limestone. The fireworks show that some of the residents put on is just awesome. We go out on the boat and watch it from the water. Can't beat that. Here's a few pics from the firework show, and then just hanging out at the house!

More from Mexico...

Here is Tadd cliff jumping at Xel Ha! Unfortunately my file is too big, but if I can figure out how to edit it, I'll post it too!

At Xel Ha we were able to try out cliff jumping! The cliff was 15 ft high, and the water below was 10 ft deep. We actually did it twice each. The first time we didn't have the camera, but I couldn't cliff jump and not have proof! The first time I screamed like a crazy person going down... I managed a little restraint second time around! There's no convincing yourself to do this...gotta just do it!

Mommy and Daddy go to Mexico!!

Tadd and I took a trip to the Riviera Maya at the end of June. We had an absolutely fantastic time. It was gorgeous, and the hotel was great. We went parasailing, visited Xel Ha, cliff jumped, and of course, drank lots of cerveza!! Here are a few pics. The boys stayed with Nandy and Papaw, and then my mom,...and I don't think they missed us a bit!!

Summer fun!

We have a great new water park near our house. It's got a cool kids' area, plus lots of slides and a wave pool. Literally five minutes from home! Can't beat that. Here are a few pics of us from the neighborhood pool and the water park with our friend Drew.
