Mississippi trip

We travelled to Mississippi over Easter weekend to celebrate Uncle BJ's 75th birthday. We got to see lots of family we hadn't seen in a long time, and some that had never met the boys!! My brother and his family were there and we had so much fun. Plus I got lots and lots of cuddle time with my newest nephew Wallace!!

My cute little family!!

3 cousins... believe it or not, Wallace is only 7 months old! He's gonna be a bruiser!
Easter egg pictures! Cecelia was more interested in her stash than in taking pictures.

Mom teaching Cody the fine art of cracking crawfish. He loved them!!

A mommy post

Hey everyone!! I'm gonna be selfish and post pictures of ME!! If you don't have facebook, you don't know that I participated in the DFW Marine Mud Run this past Sunday. It's exactly how it sounds...a 10k (6.2 mile) "run" through military style obstacles, and, you guessed it...mud. And lots of it. It was super challenging, but so much fun!!! Compare it to those ropes courses you did in junior high...I left feeling like I could accomplish anything!! It involved crawling army style through trenches, climbing walls and ropes, and sliding down muddy hills to a muddy "lake"!! I got super muddy, and had a blast!! Join me for Mud Run in Fall 09!!

My neighbor (and the person who made me do this in the first place) Shannon and I pre-mud!!

Our first "trench". The water was pretty chilly!!

On the final stretch. This is so much harder than it looks!!

Making my way through our final obstacle!! Finally...

I did it!! Muddy and happy...it was great!!

Thanks to Shannon, Kelly and Tadd for the pictures!!

T-ball!

This is the boys' first season of t-ball. So far, so good! They seem to really like it, and they've had fun at the games. Both of them have gotten pretty good at throwing the ball, and they're getting the hang of what to actually do with it once they catch it!!
Here are a few pics from our last game!

Cody up to bat.

Cody played "pitcher" one inning. They alternate positions every inning so every kid gets a chance to play every position. Cody did pretty good catching the balls...just wasn't sure where to throw them afterwards!!

My two little sluggers. (Blake was cold, and not very interested in posing)
Cody headed home!!

Blake headed to first! I think this is such a cool picture!!

The Magic Kingdom!!

Finally...the Magic Kingdom. The most magical place on Earth!! It was so fun, and so great. We all had a fantastic time, and were very sad to leave. Watching the fireworks as a family, and experiencing the magic of Disney was so wonderful. As Blake said while we were watching the fireworks..."do dreams really come true?"...Yes baby, at Disneyworld they do!!

Mommy and the boys on the teacups!!

Animal Kingdom

We spent our first day at Animal Kingdom. We went on a safari and met Mickey and Minnie for the first time.

We also rode several rides, including a dinosaur ride that scared the bejeezus out of poor Cody.

They had a great parade at the end of the day. It was a good time for our first Disney experience!!

Pooh and Tigger...Cody wasn't too sure of these big guys yet, so no picture with Pooh.

Our character dinner!

We had breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy at Chef Mickeys. It was neat because all the characters came to us so we didn't have to wait to see them all!

The family with Mickey!!

Kisses and Hugs from Minnie!!

Epcot

Traveling "around the world"...this was our last stop...Mexico!!

My sweet boys...this was taken in Paris by the way...

Chip n Dale!! They were so funny.

Bruce the shark from Nemo!!

The family in front of the giant golf ball/bowling ball!!

We had a really good time at Epcot. More than we thought we would. It really is a cool place, and we had fun going to all the different countries collecting stamps for their "passports"!!

Hollywood Studios

Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater!!

The cold front came through on Sunday and our last day (Monday) was spent at MGM/Hollywood Studios. It was windy and chilly, but not awful.
This was where the bulk of the non-traditional characters were. Beside the pics I've posted, we got autographs from all 5 Power Rangers (red, blue, yellow, pink, and white), the green army man from Toy Story, the Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and Fro-zone from The Incredibles.

Bolt!!

One of our most anticipated meetings...Buzz and Woody!!!

My crazy kids.

I almost fell out laughing when I saw what they were doing. Only my kids.

And Cody did pop that last one...my battery died just as it happened.
