Pre-K graduation

Tonight was the boys’ graduation from pre-K. They sang some songs, and each child stood up and introduced himself, then said what he wanted to be when he grew up. It was impressive…only one kid got stage fright!! Both boys said they wanted to be chefs. Who would have thought? My babies will be in kindergarten in a few short months. How can it be?

Cody with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Jessie. He's going to marry her. Or me. He can't decide.

Cody announcing to the world that he will be the next Chef Ramsey.

And Blake will be by his side. But they did tell me this morning that they will be working at the big McDonalds, and I can come whenever I want.

Graduate Blake accepting his diploma.

Cody taking his. That is their teacher, Ms Kaye giving it to him, and the girl in the black is Ms Sara, Cody's favorite.

My little graduates!!

Here's a video of them stating their future occupations. You have to skip through a bit to get to Cody and then again to get Blake--the boy in front of Blake got scared so there is a pretty big gap.

T-ball party

The boys' tball party was this past Saturday. Here are some pictures of them accepting their trophies, and some of the whole team. Getting 10 5 & 6 yr olds to hold still and smile is no easy task!!

Cutest junior groomsmen ever!!

Tadd's sister got married this past weekend and the boys were junior groomsmen. Maybe I'm biased, but I think they were the 2 cutest boys to ever don a tuxedo. They got restless wearing their tuxedos while we waited before and took pictures after, but they did great during the ceremony. The walked down the aisle together in the processional, and then each one walked with one of Troy's girls at the end. So cute!!!

The result of a very long night...all 3 of the boys fell asleep in chairs, Blake was the first victim.

How can it be possible...?

...That my babies are starting kindergarten in 4 short months? Today was registration at their soon to be school. I wasn't able to go because I was working but Tadd took them and got them all registered! They got to meet the teachers and tour the school. Cody is very excited about the art room, and Blake loved the gym! They got cookies and juice, and t-shirts! I'm going to be a mess come August...

Easter eggs!

We were a tad bit late with it, but we did dye Easter eggs this year!! The kit I got was pretty cool. We dyed eggs, then painted on them with glue and rolled them in colored sand.

All our finished eggs!!

Mississippi trip

We travelled to Mississippi over Easter weekend to celebrate Uncle BJ's 75th birthday. We got to see lots of family we hadn't seen in a long time, and some that had never met the boys!! My brother and his family were there and we had so much fun. Plus I got lots and lots of cuddle time with my newest nephew Wallace!!

3 cousins... believe it or not, Wallace is only 7 months old! He's gonna be a bruiser!
Easter egg pictures! Cecelia was more interested in her stash than in taking pictures.

Mom teaching Cody the fine art of cracking crawfish. He loved them!!

A mommy post

Hey everyone!! I'm gonna be selfish and post pictures of ME!! If you don't have facebook, you don't know that I participated in the DFW Marine Mud Run this past Sunday. It's exactly how it sounds...a 10k (6.2 mile) "run" through military style obstacles, and, you guessed it...mud. And lots of it. It was super challenging, but so much fun!!! Compare it to those ropes courses you did in junior high...I left feeling like I could accomplish anything!! It involved crawling army style through trenches, climbing walls and ropes, and sliding down muddy hills to a muddy "lake"!! I got super muddy, and had a blast!! Join me for Mud Run in Fall 09!!

My neighbor (and the person who made me do this in the first place) Shannon and I pre-mud!!

Our first "trench". The water was pretty chilly!!

On the final stretch. This is so much harder than it looks!!

Making my way through our final obstacle!! Finally...

I did it!! Muddy and happy...it was great!!

Thanks to Shannon, Kelly and Tadd for the pictures!!
