Baylor vs Tech Shootout

We were very excited to get tickets for the Baylor-Tech game this year. They are trying to make this a big rivalry, and will be playing every year at the new Cowboys' Stadium. Super cool. Tadd, Ryan, Brandie, Mom, Tadd's parents and their friends, Tadd's softball buddy Chris, and I tailgated and went to the game. It was lots of fun. Baylor held their own the first half, but Tech caught up after half time. There were some shady calls by the refs though...and even I saw that. Oh well... maybe next year!!!

Family game night

We decided to get everyone out of the turkey induced haze and play a game. We pulled out jenga and taught the "elders" how to play. How much fun was that?! It of course turned into heckling jenga, complete with karate chopping sound effects, compliments of Cody & Blake's GI Joe characters. So much fun!!

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Most of my family came to Texas for Thanksgiving this year. We had my brother and his wife and kids, my Aunt Jessica & Uncle BJ, my Uncle Lee and Aunt Fritz, and of course mom. Tadd's parents also came over on Thanksgiving Day, as did his half brother and HIS kids. It was a full house!!! Tons and tons of food, and a wonderful time. It was great to spend it with my family!!
The weather was fantastic and the kids played outside for a long time. Precious Wallace practiced his walking skills (he's ALMOST there), and I finally found a bloody mary that I actually liked! Way to go Uncle Lee!

Christmas pictures

I took the boys to the park to try and get some decent pictures for this year's Christmas card. I think they turned out fairly well. I owe much of my success to my new fantastic Nikon. LOVE it!

Halloween 09!

The boys were super original this year and chose to be Darth Vader and a Clone Trooper (again). Mommy dressed up as Leia, and Daddy was a party pooper. We went trick or treating with the neighbors then had a Halloween party at the end of the street, complete with a tv so the guys could watch UT. It was chilly but we had lots of fun! The kids did mummy wrapping and biting for donuts. Think we'll make this a yearly tradition!!

Princess Leia & her boys

The boys with their friends from down the street Sydney & Olivia, and their friend Drew that moved to Houston this summer.

I don't know what the heck happened to Blake in this one.

Never would've pictured Princess Leia to be friends with Kiss huh?

The drier version of bobbing for apples...it was so funny to watch!!

Soccer!

We have managed to get in a few soccer games between the torrential rainfalls we've been having. So far we have 3 to make up. It stinks, because the kids haven't gotten to practice hardly at all, so they aren't really playing too well, which makes the games a lot less fun. Last weekend we had a double header, and the boys played fantastic in the 2nd game!! Cody scored 2 goals (1st of the season for him) and Blake scored 1 (also the 1st). I'm loving my new camera and have gotten some great pictures! It takes awesome action shots!!

Happy 6th birthday!!! ... aka, no, we didn't fall off the face of the earth

Believe it or not, my little babies turned 6 on October 20. I can hardly believe it!! We celebrated their birthday at Pump it Up (again, this year is a duplication of their 4th bday...wait for Halloween). We had a busy busy weekend with family in town for the TX/OU game, our school's Fall Festival, and soccer!
Here are the 3 boys with their painted hair after the fall festival.

Blake having fun on the slides!

This is Cody's newest face. He thinks it is hilarious. We'll see how funny it is when we show it to his girlfriend in high school.

The whole birthday gang. We ended up with 23 kids!!!

Our Star Wars lego cake!! I'm rather pleased with how this came out. Not picture perfect, but much improved from my last cake (the Little Einsteins "rocket" disaster from 2007.)

My big boys!!!

Blowing out the candles....I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to swing this one cake thing. I had to do 2 flavors this year as it was.

The birthday boys. I'm quite surprised at how well they did in the chair together. It was a tight squeeze yet that managed through all the present opening!

Our cute little family!

Celebrating opening presents!!

Happy birthday to my big boys!!!! I can hardly believe they are growing SO fast. I think next year will be a tough one. Six is still kind of a little boy...seven?....he's a boy. Almost a tween. Excuse me while I wipe my tears....
