Baylor Homecoming 2010

This past weekend we traveled to Waco for Baylor Homecoming.  We met up with some of my sorority sisters to watch the parade, then made a last minute decision to go to the game.  There was a two hour rain delay 1 1/2 minutes into the first quarter, which really stunk, but once we got going the Bears pulled it off!!  This was a super significant game because a win meant a guaranteed trip to a bowl game--the first since 1994!!  We played #22 ranked Kansas State.  It was a great game and we are SO glad we went!!

Cody tossing the football pre-game.  Two adults and an older kid went in front of him and got nothing, and he landed two balls in the holes!!  Can we say quarterback???

Way to go Bears!!!!  Great job!

Happy 7th Birthday!!!

Somehow my little men have made it to 7 years old.  I can't believe how quickly these 7 years have gone by.  They are no longer little babies, no longer toddlers, no longer even pre-schoolers.  They are boys.  100% wild, dirty, loud boys.  And I love them SO much.  Happy happy birthday to my babies!!

We had a Laser Tag birthday party at Alley Cats.  They had been looking forward to their party for weeks, and gave me a day by day countdown starting at about 12 days out.  They had 15 of their friends at the party and everyone had a great time.  Laser tag is a trip...anyone who hasn't done it before is missing out!!!

Just some of their birthday stash....

On the boys actual birthday I woke up early and made their traditional birthday pancakes.  In case you can't tell, that is a number 7.  ;)  I went and had lunch with them that day, then we went to dinner with Mimi after opening presents at home.  They declared their birthday a success!!

Texas State Fair!

Tadd took a Monday off and we took the boys to the fair.  We had been with them once before but they were younger and didn't really care much about it.  They rode several rides and we took the big sky ride across the park (super cool).  Tadd won them each a football/basketball so they were happy.  We didn't try any of the fried treats though!!  Maybe next year.

Elizabeth Smith Fall Festival

Our elementary school's biggest fundraiser is their Fall Festival.  We went last year and had a great time.  The boys got their hair sprayed, Cody got his face painted, they played lots of games, and got to dunk Blake's teacher in the dunk tank!!

 Cody's cake walk prize!

Cowboys vs Titans!

Tadd and I have had a month full of football!  The weekend after we went to Nashville, Trish & Jordan came up and we went to the Cowboys/Titans game here in Arlington.  (Also happened to be my birthday...happy birthday to me!!)  It was a great game and we had awesome seats.  And the Titans won!!!

A 34 point Titans win for my 34th birthday!!
 My very happy husband!

Trip to Nashville!!

Tadd and I took a trip to Nashville the first weekend in October.  He has always wanted to see the Titans play at home, and we found a great airfare deal a few months ago so we booked it.  We had the absolute best time.  Nashville is a wonderful city.  The Titans lost to the Broncos, but it was a good game and we had great seats!  We will definitely be doing this again!

Charlie Pride sang the national anthem!  How cool is that?
