Valentine's Day parties

The school decided to do Valentine's Day parties instead of end of school year parties this year because it was too hectic to have a party the last day of school.  I'm Blake's class mom this year, so I get to organize the party and activities.  Blake LOVES me being his class mom and I've really enjoyed doing it.  I try to run to Cody's classes a few times during each party so I can see him too.  I think he's a little jealous.  ;)

The NFL Experience

The week before superbowl there was a huge event at the Dallas Convention Center called the NFL experience.  It had all sorts of Superbowl memorabilia, games for kids (and adults) to play, photo ops... lots of cool NFL stuff.  We went with some neighbors and had a really good time.  It was a little pricey, but how often do you get to do something like that??

Cody coming back from catching the ball

Prelude to the future???  Apparently Cody's new favorite team is the Dolphins.  Don't ask why...I have no clue.
And Blake loves the Saints.  Poor Daddy...no one is a Titans wanna be

Basketball

The boys played basketball this winter for the first time.  They seemed to both really like it, and the games were very "entertaining".  I don't think either of them scored during any of the games, but they did lots of good guarding!!!  For reference in pictures, Blake was #11 and Cody was #23.  Baseball season starts tomorrow!!

Blake being typical Blake...notice the rest of his team behind him talking to the coach?

Happy New Year!!

Happy 2011 to all of our family and friends!!

Christmas 2010

Since we celebrated Christmas early with Tadd's family, we were able to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day at home.  I worked on Christmas Eve, but the church we attend (occasionally) has a Christmas Eve Eve service, so Tadd's parents came up that day and we all went together.  It was really neat.  It was the first Christmas service I had been to in YEARS, and the first for the boys.  It was a candlelight service and they both seemed to really enjoy it.  Maybe 2011 will be the year we commit to going to church again.

Their big present from Mom & Dad...a new tv for their playroom.  They LOVE it.  Mario Kart is way more fun on a big screen!!

Along with Tadd's parents, we also had Tadd's half brother Craig, and some friends over for Christmas day dinner.  This was by far the biggest meal I have planned or orchestrated more or less on my own, and I was pretty proud of myself!!  We had a great meal, and a really good day.

Christmas in Waco

We had our Crosslin family Christmas the weekend before the holiday this year.  Trish and Jordan surprised Kylee and Addy with a Christmas trip to Disney and we couldn't have Addy celebrate her first Christmas without us!
