Holy Hail-storm Batman!

Last week North Texas was hit with a nasty storm, and Mansfield definitely wasn't spared. This was definitely the worst storm I have ever seen next to a hurricane. The winds were between 60-80 mph, and so many trees were just sideways. The hail was crazy!!! It looked like it had snowed in our yard. And you can't really tell from the pictures, but we had a raging river in our street. It was unbelievable. Thankfully the boys slept through it all.

Last of San Antonio pictures

Here's the last of the pics. We actually went to Riverwalk the first day, so those are backwards. We rode a boat down the river and the boys waved at everyone walking around. We visited my college roommate Leslie and her family on our last night--it was great to see them again. All in all, a great vacation!!!

More San Antonio Pics

Sea World has definitely changed since I went as a kid. There are a bunch of big roller coaster rides there now, and some water rides too. There is also a water park but it wasn't open. Blake loved the Shamu roller coaster ride and rode it 3 or 4 times with Daddy. Cody and I got soaked on the river ride, but it was still fun.

Trip to San Antonio

We took a trip to San Antonio with the boys in early April. It was our first "family vacation" where we weren't traveling to see family. We spent 3 days there and had a great time. The weather was fantastic the whole time. We walked around on the Riverwalk, saw the Alamo, saw a 3-D Dinosaur movie (Cody wasn't too keen on that, Blakey tried to touch them the whole time), and of course we went to Sea World!! The boys loved staying in the hotel, and we ALL had a great time at Sea World. Cody says his favorite was the dolphins, and Blake liked Shamu (or Shampu). Definitely somewhere we will go again!!

Dying Easter eggs

We dyed Easter eggs last week and had lots of fun. We had Pirate eggs and Star Wars eggs. The boys loved mixing colors and seeing what would happen. They look so big and grown up in these pictures! Hard to believe we moved to this house Easter weekend 3 years ago...they were just babies then!

The haircut.

As much as I love their hair longer, Cody's hair is just too puffy and sadly, his head is too big for him to have big hair. So I let Daddy cut it this weekend. Cute boy. And yes, that IS a children's bible in his hands. I'm trying kids!!

Trip to Chuck E Cheese in Waco

We headed to Waco last weekend and went to Chuck E Cheese with Troy and Collin, and Nandy and Papaw. The boys of course had a blast together. They miss each other a lot. Daddy had fun too.

Long overdue

Hello everyone!! It's been forever since I've posted anything, sorry!! I honestly just don't take that many pictures anymore. Bad mommy, I know. Everything is great here. The boys love their new school. Blake has developed a love for computer/video games and Cody is a budding artist. They are learning so so much, and we just love it there. Everyone is staying busy around here. We're planning a trip to Sea World in April, and looking forward to lake season. Sometime in the fall we'll head to Alabama to meet our new cousin (Brandie is due around Labor Day!!) Hopefully as spring comes we'll start doing more outside and I'll get some more pics up!

These are from about a month ago. My friend Lauren hosted a get together for all us Kappa Delta girls and our kiddos in the DFW area. It was fun, and it was great to see everyone and their kids. We definitely need to do it more often!!

And the group pic....see how happy they all are?

Just some videos

The boys are little dancing machines lately, much to my utmost joy. Cody really loves music, he always tells me to turn it up in the car. Here are two videos of some dancing. Sorry about the sideways-ness with Cody's...forgot about posting it when I did that!!

Cody singing/dancing to Flo Rida's Low

Both boys dancing to Linkin Park. I have flash-forwards(?) of them destroying hotel rooms when they get ahold of the curtain on the door.

ICE! at the Gaylord Texan

A resort here has a show called ICE every winter and we went to see it with a neighbor of ours and her son. It's an exhibit made entirely out of ice. I mean, EVERYTHING is ice. It's like 2000 lbs of ice carved into wintery stuff. Super cool, but very very cold!! I think I read that it's 9 degrees in there!! BRRR!!! The boys weren't too hot for the freezing temps!

Can you tell how excited they all are?

Cody is fired up about the train!!

My little snowmen!

A nativity scene made completely of ice!!

They were having so much fun!

Merry Christmas!

The inital Santa discovery!

Blakey playing with "big wheel little wheel"

This was the first year the boys really "got" Santa and I think it was more fun for Tadd and I than them. We came home from Waco Christmas Eve and got ready for Santa's arrival. After an hour or so of construction all the toys were ready and Tadd and I got to bed. Cody was up at about 6:30 and we went and got Blakey up. The immediate hit was the Geo Trax set or the "train with a light on it" that Santa brought Cody. Once Blake noticed it, he was VERY excited about his "big wheel little wheel". We opened all our presents, then headed to town to buy our very first "family" Christmas dinner. It was a great day overall. The boys were so happy with all their presents, and we had a great day with just the four of us. The boys kept asking that evening if Santa was coming back tonight.
