Christmas pictures

I took the boys to the park to try and get some decent pictures for this year's Christmas card. I think they turned out fairly well. I owe much of my success to my new fantastic Nikon. LOVE it!

Halloween 09!

The boys were super original this year and chose to be Darth Vader and a Clone Trooper (again). Mommy dressed up as Leia, and Daddy was a party pooper. We went trick or treating with the neighbors then had a Halloween party at the end of the street, complete with a tv so the guys could watch UT. It was chilly but we had lots of fun! The kids did mummy wrapping and biting for donuts. Think we'll make this a yearly tradition!!

The boys with their friends from down the street Sydney & Olivia, and their friend Drew that moved to Houston this summer.

I don't know what the heck happened to Blake in this one.

Never would've pictured Princess Leia to be friends with Kiss huh?

The drier version of bobbing for apples...it was so funny to watch!!

Soccer!

We have managed to get in a few soccer games between the torrential rainfalls we've been having. So far we have 3 to make up. It stinks, because the kids haven't gotten to practice hardly at all, so they aren't really playing too well, which makes the games a lot less fun. Last weekend we had a double header, and the boys played fantastic in the 2nd game!! Cody scored 2 goals (1st of the season for him) and Blake scored 1 (also the 1st). I'm loving my new camera and have gotten some great pictures! It takes awesome action shots!!

Happy 6th birthday!!! ... aka, no, we didn't fall off the face of the earth

Believe it or not, my little babies turned 6 on October 20. I can hardly believe it!! We celebrated their birthday at Pump it Up (again, this year is a duplication of their 4th bday...wait for Halloween). We had a busy busy weekend with family in town for the TX/OU game, our school's Fall Festival, and soccer!
Here are the 3 boys with their painted hair after the fall festival.

Blake having fun on the slides!

This is Cody's newest face. He thinks it is hilarious. We'll see how funny it is when we show it to his girlfriend in high school.

The whole birthday gang. We ended up with 23 kids!!!

Our Star Wars lego cake!! I'm rather pleased with how this came out. Not picture perfect, but much improved from my last cake (the Little Einsteins "rocket" disaster from 2007.)

My big boys!!!

Blowing out the candles....I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to swing this one cake thing. I had to do 2 flavors this year as it was.

The birthday boys. I'm quite surprised at how well they did in the chair together. It was a tight squeeze yet that managed through all the present opening!

Our cute little family!

Celebrating opening presents!!

Happy birthday to my big boys!!!! I can hardly believe they are growing SO fast. I think next year will be a tough one. Six is still kind of a little boy...seven?....he's a boy. Almost a tween. Excuse me while I wipe my tears....

First bus ride

The boys informed me yesterday when I picked them up that they no longer wanted me to, and they wanted to ride the bus. It took a lot of convincing for them to let me take them to school today, with the promise they could ride the bus home. It was kind of nerve wracking...wondering if they would get off at the right place! I'm sure they have some sort of system though, and I told them not to get off until they saw me. They loved the bus!! We'll see how long that lasts...

Here comes our bus!

First day of school!!

Unbelievably, today is Cody and Blake's first day of kindergarten. They have been so excited for so long, and did fantastic when we dropped them off. They are in two different classes, but they have friends in both classes, which helps. They looked so handsome and grown up this morning. Mom & Dad did well...my eyes misted a bit (and I think Tadd's did too), but no tears were shed. I can't wait to pick them up this afternoon and hear all about it!!!

************************************************************************************

Our cool backpacks and lunchboxes. I was so paranoid I would forget to put something in their lunch box...I must have checked them at least 3 times.

We're ready to go!

Cowboys game

Tadd and I went to the opening game at the new Cowboys' stadium this past Friday. His parents wanted to go, and the Cowboys were playing the Titans so we bought tickets. That new stadium is UNBELIEVABLE. It's beautiful and awesome.
The screen is crazy huge. You can see every little detail. Kinda takes away from the game, but it makes it easy for football challenged people like me to watch.

That's Jerry Jones' suite under the time clock. You can just barely see him.
